Our last 2 calves have been born with markings we have never seen before, black in the tail switch and black patches mixed with the white back line. The one before them had the black tail switch but only a few spots in the line. We have noticed for years that many Randalls have black spots in the skin under the line, but except for the rare black spot, those black skin spots actually have white hair growing out of them.
This is just another example of the depth of the Randall gene pool, there never ceases to be surprises!
